Hi all! We are still here, but we have been super busy. We went to visit my mom and stepdad (the first time Caroline had been there). We got to see all of my aunts and uncles (my mom is from a HUGE family) and met some new friends. We weren't able to meet Jessica and Jaden because my mom had us traveling all over the place. I was really bummed, but maybe we'll be able to hook up in November. I wasn't able to post pictures because my mother hasn't stepped into this century and still doesn't have internet! I about lost my mind!! We had to go to the McDonald's where they had free Wi-Fi.
I will post more tidbits from our trip and pictures later, but right now we are getting ready for a mom's consignment sale on Friday. I also have to play three tennis matches in the next 5 days. I made it to the playoffs (YAY!!), but they only give you three days to get that match in!
I also gave Tim a HUGE surprise last night. He loves Hootie and the Blowfish and every year, he says we should go see them when they are in Atlanta. But, since all of our money was in Guatemala, it just wasn't possible or feasible. WELL...last night, I was given two seats at an intimate table to see Hootie! I called Tim and he just about fell over! He is SO excited!
So now, I have to schedule in a concert as well. It's really all quite funny...we haven't had anything to do in quite some time and now we are overloaded! Isn't it funny how life goes!!
Gotta go, I'll post later today.

So Stinkin' Proud of Myself!
For those of you who know me, I have been playing tennis for a little over a year. I had been getting pretty decent when the DREADED ankle accident happened. I went down pretty hard and came out several months later with surgery. I then had an "extended" stay in Guatemala and didn't come home until April. The Sunday after returning, my team had a match. I played in it and lost! I am NOT a loser, so it was a tough loss for me. After much practicing with my team and hitting around with Tim, I joined two single leagues. I am currently 1st in my division in one of them and ranked 35th out of 208 in the other! I still don't feel that I am totally back, but my confidence is sure building! Last night, I had a match with one of the toughest girls in my division. We went to a tie breaker in the first set and then to 7-5 in the second set. I came home a WINNER! I was so pumped up! I have four more matches over the next 5 days, so hopefully, I can stay on top.
Okay...weird post, but I just had to share my excitement!

Caroline and I went to Florida last week to vacation with my sister and niece (who stay there for about three weeks in the summer). Hope you enjoy the pictures!
I really admire photographers! This picture took forever!
My sister Christi and niece Savannah
Caroline kept calling this cow "Georgia". I guess it resembled my sister's dog "Georgia"??!!
Mommy and Caroline just relaxing on the beach
Caroline thought this "water fountain" was built just for her!

Pictures From Our First 4th!
We had a pretty low key 4th of July this year. Caroline and I were supposed to leave for Florida the next day, I had a tennis match, and almost all of our neighbors were out of town. To make a long story short, all of our plans changed. It turned out to be a perfect family day! We ate Southern cooking, bought Caroline her very own beach chair, and watched a great fireworks display over our lake. It was SO hot, as you can tell from the sweat pouring from Caroline's hair! We didn't take any pictures of the fireworks, but it was a perfect ending to a perfect day. Caroline loved looking up at them and didn't even flinch from the BOOMS! We live on a lake and I sometimes take it for granted, but it made the perfect backdrop for our 1st 4th! We are so blessed to be able to celebrate it with our little bundle of joy!

My New Walking Shoes
We went to Stride Rite the other week to get Caroline some new walking shoes. I've been reading a ton of research on whether to get them or let her go barefoot...BUT, I think the authors must live in a cooler zone, because it's too stinking hot in Atlanta to go without shoes! She loved the shoe store and trying on shoes! However, the worker came over to measure her foot and she started SCREAMING! It was actually pretty funny! Especially, when a mother told her little boy that he used to do that when he was her age! ;) Caroline loves her shoes and loves looking at them. I'll ask her, "Caroline, where are your pretty shoes?" She immediately looks down at her feet and touches them! SO CUTE!
