ALLERGIES and updates...
Tomorrow I am participating in a Mom's Yard Sale. This is really the first "season" that I have had a full wardrobe to sell of Caroline's. It's kinda sad seeing ALL the clothes that she wore once or probably never even tried on! I decided that I was only going to keep the most important outfits and sell the rest, so wish me luck! I had a VERY difficult time pricing her outfits. Most of them were never worn. What's a good price? Do I price them to sell or do I price them at the price I would pay for them or do I price them a bit higher in anticipation of bargaining? ARGGGHHH, too much pressure! I am looking forward to making some money, decluttering my life and closets, and hanging out with friends. However, I am dreading sitting outside. I just know the pollen is lurking around, dying to cause me pain...could it be the meds I'm on?????
Frugal Friday for this week will have to be tomorrow and I'm going to call it "Super Savings Saturday". I got some great deals at CVS, Kroger, and Publix this week. I was going to go with Tutti to the Dekalb Farmer's Market tonight to get fresh produce, but since my head was pounding, I had to take a raincheck.
And now for a Tennis Update...tennis so far is going great! My partner and I have played two matches and we WON both of them! YAY!! We played a very tough match on Tuesday. Our scores were 6-7, 7-6, 7-5. Our first two sets went to tie-breakers! CRAZY!!!!!!! Our coach has been drilling in our heads...aim for the net opponent. SLAM IT at them and then pray they get out of the way! Well, after the second time of me literally hitting the girl, she was out for blood! She tried to take my head off! It's a good thing that I have fast reflexes...I was able to either move or hit it back! :) However, I did take a pretty horrible and scary fall during the 2nd set. I literally tucked and rolled diving for ball. I heard my racquet scrape across the court and felt my body land with such a thud that it scared me. My teammates began screaming. I knew when I went down that I was going to be okay, but just "sore". "I'm okay...just the pride is hurting." is what I yelled while looking at the starry sky. I was determined that we were going to win and the next day I would allow the pain to begin...
Pain it was...I got home at 11:30 that night (we started at 8:00) and then at 12:45 Caroline woke up. This was the first time that she has woken up in the middle of the night since we have been home. At 1:15, I finally went in to get her. I picked her up and brought her in our bed. Poor baby...she couldn't breathe due to her allergies. We then "slept" sitting propped up until 7:30. I asked her "do you want to get in your bed and go night-night?" "Yeah...yeah..." she replied. So I put her in her bed and CRASHED. At 9:00, she woke up crying again. I tapped Tim and said "Tag, you're it. I can't even open my eyes." So, Tim helped me out (TREMENDOUSLY) and let me sleep for another hour. Needless to say, my ENTIRE body was hurting!
So that should get you caught up on our week. I left out several things but you get the point. I will post again tomorrow but my next post probably won't be until mid-week. Caroline is getting her Easter pictures made on Monday and I will be frantically trying to find a dress on Saturday afternoon. Sunday, I have tennis, which means no shopping time. I'll let you know how her first portrait session went. I am excited because she gets to hold a real bunny!! I'm thinking...GREAT PIX!

Where oh where has Bethany gone? Where oh where can she be??
Frugal Friday will be posted tomorrow with pics. This week wasn't a fabulous week for deals. I am not super impressed with next week at Publix either. I am looking to be inspired tomorrow. :)
Part 3 of "the story" is put on hold a bit. After writing parts 1 and 2, too many memories that I obviously haven't dealt are emerging. We have DVR at home and I have kept the Dateline NBC story on it since last January. I haven't been able to let go. Tim has been wanting to switch tv providers, but was afraid of how I would react with losing it. It's time. I need to heal and move on. So, we switched to Dish Network and said good bye to Teo.
On the homefront, we have been working (again) on potty training. I think this just might kill me! Forget international kidnapping charges...it's going to be potty training that is going to BREAK ME! More potty updates later...
I am exhausted but you can look forward to some great pictures tomorrow. I will also be sharing how I got to meet one of my blogging friends today in person! It was great! Pictures tomorrow!

The PERFECT Tennis shirt...
Okay God...I hear ya!
RUN to WALGREENS!
I just bought 6 packs of diapers and 2 toothpastes for $15ish. I then received (2) $10 RR...so, we are talking virtually FREE diapers! In order to get my diapers free, I used the Dove RR. I am now back to having $40 to spend at Publix plus I still have my $25 left for this week's shopping trips.
Yes, I posted a deal early because I wanted you to take advantage of it this week. If they don't have the sizes you need, buy what they do have and then exchange later. My store only had 3 packs of both sizes I bought. SO RUN!!!!

Frugal Friday...Walgreens
One of the Walgreens stores that I don't really frequent had the Aquafina water on sale for $2.99. I bought 4! I also bought 8 Dove soap bars. I'm not sure what happened, but I had to return 3 and bought 5 more and then got a refund and then got another refund because he didn't use the 99 cent coupon and then I paid $8 plus received a $10 register reward (RR). Like I said, I was confused but the manager did it all.
Transaction #2
I then went to another Walgreens and bought some more goodies.
5- Splenda 100 counts- $2.99 each - (5) $3.00 Q FREE **overage8- Dove Soap Bars- 99 cents each
Total- ? Recieved a $10 RR
I have gone back to Walgreens a few more times and completed some more deals (2) to include some deodorant and of course more soap. I now have (4) $10 RR to use next week. I was planning on using these at Publix, but now I am going to be using them at Walgreens to buy more diapers! Yuck! I will then use those register rewards to pay for my groceries the next two weeks at Publix.
Frugal Friday...Publix
I had some great coupon match ups this week that allowed me to get some overage on a few things. Gotta love those BJ club coupons! I also broke up my items into 2 transactions for 1 cent toilet paper. My lipton tea was free and so was my del monte tomatoes and tylenol. I was lucky to be able to use an expired $3 Publix Q and a $5 MQ for my diapers. I do regret buying my tea because I had planned on buying the green tea (which was not on sale) to make Tutti's Iced Green Tea Lemonade Recipe. But, since I live in the south, I see sweet tea in my future! LOL!
Frugal Friday...Target
Strawberries were on sale for 99 cents/pound, so I stocked up on them. I cut them up and froze them for smoothies! Yummy! I was also planning on making a green chili chicken soup, but then we had a mishap with coffee and my cooking books...so that is what my chilis and pepper were for. Face soap, didn't use my free money at CVS, so had to use it at Target.
So with my gift card, I paid about $3.00 OOP! Another great shopping day!
Frugal Friday...CVS
Of course, I have lost my receipt, so I'm not sure how much I saved, but I know my grand total was....
OOP: 85 cents
The coupon machine at CVS printed out a $3 Q off the Playskool diapers (which were already on sale) and on the package was another $1 Q. The Johnson's and Johnson's lotion and bath wash was on sale for $3 and I had lots of $2 Q that were expiring the next day. The lighters are for projects and grilling, and the sweets are for our sanity! :)
I received $5 ECB towards my next purchase, which I will NOT forget about!

Walgreens....I am in love with you!
Take advantage of the buy 8 dove products and get $10 RR (register rewards) back. The Dove soap is on sale this week for 99 cents. BUT...the travel sized deodorant is 99 cents regular price. Buy 8 of them and get $10 back! BUT...use the $1.50/2 coupon in the Red Plum insert from 1/18 and get 8 for CHEAP! It's a no brainer!
Now, what do you do with the $10 RR? It's technically a manufacturer coupon, so it will scan anywhere. But, for sure, Publix takes them. I now have $40 in RR to use towards my groceries next week! I am not impressed with the sale at Publix this week, so I will probably save the majority of them and use them the next week.

Always check your receipts! I knew something was wrong when she told me the last total, but I couldn't figure out what it was. I should have stood there a bit longer, but with an impatient toddler and a rude cashier and bagger (my favorite guy was on lunch break), I just wanted out of there! ARRGG! I could have had an extra $6, but I guess I shouldn't be too upset with the total. I didn't have to buy my usual milk and creamer because we were out of town for 5 days. I still had milk left in the fridge for when we returned, so that helped cut the cost.
I also haven't had to buy meat lately, so that has helped on the savings a TON! It makes a difference in your budget when you finally get a good stockpile in your pantry.
Check back on Friday for several great Frugal Friday posts. I have bought a TON of stuff this week and was surprised at how far $40 stretched! :)

A Great Deal at Walgreens...
Another delay in posts...we went home
We visited with my aunts, uncles and cousin Jetty. They gave Caroline the CUTEST outfits...a UK Cheerleader outfit and a UK warm-up suit! I joked with Caroline and told her she could have her choice of sports...whichever one was winning, she could wear that outfit! :)
My parents live in a remote town where the nearest mall is about an hour away. I haven't been to Paducah in about 6 years, so we decided it was time to go. Dillard's was having an AMAZING sale! It really made me miss the Dillards Kentucky sales. They were always the BEST! We then went to Gymboree where I picked up several outfits ranging from $1.99-$3.99 for next year! Can't beat those prices!
On Saturday we just chilled out and hung around the house. It was a good thing because we ended up getting 4 inches of snow! Caroline had a great time playing in it! She started crying because I wouldn't let her go outside immediately. She brought me her coat and shoes and sat down at the door until I would get her dressed! Too funny! I'll post pictures of this soon.
We met back up on Sunday to come back to Atlanta where we were greeted with more snow and ice! YUCK! I thought living in the south meant no more yucky weather! The snow and ice here just melt away and leave a gross mess and you can't really enjoy it. It's funny because the local schools were closed today and now (where I live) there isn't any ice or even snow left! Where we grew up, we never would have been out of school today! I've got to go get milk for Caroline...I wonder if there will be any left??? :)
Grocery Store Updates:
I'm not to excited about going and doing major grocery store shopping this week, so I think that I will pick up milk for Caroline and just some fresh produce. This week will be a great week to live off of our stockpile and save money. I still have plenty of chicken and ground turkey breast in the freezer, so we'll just figure it out. I do plan on going to Super Target to get strawberries for 99 cents/pound. I am going to freeze them and make them into smoothies for us, YUMMY!
I will post my frugal Friday sometime today from last week. I don't plan on going out of town for quite some time so all regular posts will resume.
Adoption Story Update:
I will be posting Part 3 later this week. I will also be giving you background information on our agency. I realized that after reading my the posts that our agency sounded somewhat decent, which WAS NOT TRUE! I want to make sure that you all understand that they were almost as evil (maybe even just the same) as Teo.
Shopping Trip:
I want to go up to Suwanee next week to a cute children's boutique that Tim found. They are having a tent sale. Not sure what the sale prices will be, but still want to go. Anyone want to go with me???? BECKY???????? :)
