Where does the time go????

We are home and have been for a little over a week. WOW! Where does the time go? Oh, yeah, I know....adjusting! :) Life has been great with Caroline home. We are slowly getting into a routine with her. We've had a bunch of firsts...meeting Aunt Sissy, Uncle Stanley and Savannah, riding in a carseat, sleeping in a crib, seeing dogs, and many others. Life has just been crazy and we are LOVING IT!!!

We are so blessed by having such a sweet little girl. She loves riding in the car, loves waking up to the doggies in the morning and LOVES her cousin Savannah! We were really nervous about her sleeping in a crib for the first time, but she did great! She sleeps thru the night and lets us sleep in. We went to the doctor to get all checked out and Caroline is perfectly healthy!!! God is so GOOD! I'm good friends with our doctor and called her several times while we were in Guatemala. As soon as we came in, she came running up to us and grabbed us up! We sure were glad to see Dr. Elaine!!

We have had so many more adventures, but for now, I'm out of time. Caroline is calling for me!! YAY!!! We are LOVING IT!!!!

Embassy Day...Check!!!

Hi! We had our embassy appointment today at 7:15. We were number 4! YAY!! It was definitely an odd experience. I have made several contacts at the embassy and one of them told me that our pink slip was emailed to the wrong address. I'm glad that we went ahead and showed up! She promised us an appointment today and she delivered. It just proves that no matter how bad your experience is...you can do it. We had no help at the embassy and we survived. I've learned so much thru this experience that I'm going to open up an adoption agency!!! Yeah right!!! Just joking! I am SO glad to be going home! HOME!!! We will pick up our visa tomorrow and fly home on Wednesday. HOME!! We're leaving on a jet plane...

Pollo Campero Helado...yum! yum!

A Day at the Zoo

Today we decided that we would get out of the hotel. We decided to take Caroline and Nana to the Zoo here in Guatemala City. The entrance to the zoo only cost us $7 for all of us! The zoos in the states should take a hint!!! Caroline enjoyed looking at the animals and LOVED eating her Pollo Campero helado (ice cream) cono.
