Typical Guatemalan Food

In honor of Caroline's great news, we had some friends over and cooked dinner. We made chicken soup (supa de gallina), tortillas, yuca, platanos verde (green plantains), arroz (rice), guacamole, maiz (corn), and pico de gallo (tomatoes, peppers, and onions). I've learned to cook some new foods, so I thought that I would share them with you! The last picture is of the juevo (egg) that was inside of the gallina (hen) when we cleaned and cooked it. What do you think????
